I've known Cody since before he can even remember me. My college bestie Kristi dated his uncle Paul; and as round-faced toddlers, Cody and his brother Tanner were at our college grad party!
Over the years I've gotten to know him through Kristi and her (now) husband, Paul; at weddings, family events, etc... I've spent a few reckless weekends with Cody and his new bride, Carly at Kristi and Paul's cabin in Webb Lake , WI celebrating Saint Patrick's Day. In short, I have had a lot of fun with the ENTIRE Beeksma crew in the past 25-or-so years. (Eek! I'm old!)
Naturally, I am close enough to the Beeksma family to KNOW they really like to have a good time. I was honored and excited to have Cody and Carly ask me to photograph their wedding.
The day was casual and laid-back and beautiful; to be expected. Carly was a gorgeous bride, (with skin like glass, I'll add...No Photoshopping necessary) Cody a handsome groom, and the entire day was perfect in spite of some things not working out as planned-- For example; not all the bribes in the world could've coaxed their son Asher into his little suit. They just rolled with it.
And it was perfect.
And I love that about them.
